Domaine Pellé has been cultivating four hectares of Sancerre in Montigny for over 40 years. On these caillotte-rich (dry, stony limestone) terroirs, the Pinot Noir grape ripens slowly with its aromatic maturity building day by day. The dense fruit is balanced by a crisp acidity that draws out the palate and reveals the mineral tension of the terroir. Assertive yet smoothly integrated, the tannins underpin a substance that is fresh and powerful, true to the nature of the caillottes. These are Pinots of character—vibrant and direct—equally at home on the table or ageing in the cellar.
